VIP CEO Honored by Sacramento Business Journal
FOLSOM, CA – January 2, 2009 - The Sacramento Business Journal named Jonna Ward, Visionary Integration Professionals’ founder and CEO one of four finalists for the Sacramento region’s 2008 Executive of the Year. Though the top honor this year went to Tom Meuser, the Business Journal recognized Ward and 2 other executives – Steve Oldham of SureWest and Todd Wille of Unify - as deserving of “high marks and praise for their efforts and leadership skills in 2008.”

Ward started her company in her back bedroom in 1996, and has grown well beyond the Sacramento region since.
VIP enjoyed revenue of $113 million in 2007, earning No. 582 on Inc. magazine’s 5,000 fastest-growing private companies list, a lofty and noteworthy honor (the company was ranked No. 83 among information technology service companies).
The Folsom-based company has more than doubled its payroll and revenue since 2006. Much of the growth comes from purchases of rivals. VIP has bought five companies — including MyITgroup, the nation’s largest privately owned firm affiliated with software company SAP — since 2005.
Ward says she has reviewed dozens of companies for possible purchases during the past few months, but none are to her liking, so far. VIP has offices in Natomas, Minneapolis, Dallas, Denver, New York City, Houston, Alexandria, Va., and Bangalore, India.
The privately owned company has about 900 employees. Ward has been considered as a finalist for the Business Journal Executive of the Year the past two years.
