Visionary Integration Professionals is expected Friday to announce its fourth acquisition in nearly a decade of operations. (The last one, six months ago, pushed annual sales to about $48 million.)
Details of the new acquisition aren't being disclosed yet. But we can report that VIP was very methodical in its search for a new firm to swallow.
In January, it hired a Southern California investment banking company, which identified 166 potential candidates.
Those firms were contacted and 74 responded positively. Due diligence resulted in the deal to be announced this week. Are any of the remaining 73 likely to be purchased?
Very possibly, says spokeswoman Nicole Malamatenios.
