Informatica PowerCenter 8 Upgrade

This one-day course will teach you how to successfully upgrade Informatica PowerCenter servers and repositories from version 6 or 7 to version 8 or 8.1, through lectures and hands-on practice. After successfully completing this course, you will be able to describe the upgrade process, and explain how the changes in PowerCenter version 8 architecture affect that process. You will be able to prepare a PowerCenter instance (version 6 or 7) for upgrade to 8.x, and upgrade existing servers and repositories. You will be able to perform necessary post-upgrade tasks, and to apply best practices to the upgrade process. Troubleshooting tips will be provided during the course. The practice is done using PC/Windows, but a number of tips for Unix upgrade are given as well. This course is intended for PowerCenter administrators with at least six months experience with PowerCenter.
