Informatica Performance and Tuning - 3 day(s)

This course focuses on the performance and tuning issues surrounding the use of Informatica PowerMart/PowerCenter. It covers a wide variety of topics designed to increase the performance of PowerMart/PowerCenter within your environment including architecture, design, hardware, software and contention issues. Finally, the class will focus on how to best tune Informatica mappings and sessions to achieve a balance between the operating system, the database and Informatica. Also discussed will be session settings and what it means to the resource allocations in the operating and database systems. Students will gain a good understanding of the interaction between PowerMart/PowerCenter, the database and the operating system. This will help them tune mappings to allow PowerMart/PowerCenter to run faster and get better performance from their current implementation.
