QuickTest Professional 9.5 Workshop - 4 Days

Automated functional testing enables an organization to dramatically increase the thoroughness and accuracy of their software testing process, and do so in shorter time periods.  This workshop teaches the fundamentals needed to utilize HP’s QuickTest Professional (QTP) to create efficient test automation architecture.  The course teaches the basics of how to plan, build, and execute an automation framework using QTP.  Advanced topics including creating QTP scripts using the native Visual Basic language are emphasized.  Hands on lab exercises are used throughout the course to demonstrate key topics and insure the student is intimately familiar with the QTP applications capabilities and limitations.  Classes are led by certified instructors that have real world experience at implementing automation frameworks using QTP.  Topics covered during the course include: Test automation concepts, parameterization, object repository, dynamic description, synchronization, run-time settings, actions, expert view, checkpoints, data extraction, data table objects, and external data sources.  The course is specifically designed for web applications, but demonstrates key principles that are highly valuable for functional automation testing of all architectures.
