LoadRunner 9.5 Workshop – 5 Days
Computer systems have become critical to modern business, and guaranteed performance is now an essential requirement. This workshop teaches fundamental principals and key techniques that enable students to design and successfully execute performance tests using the HP LoadRunner 9 product set. The workshops are led by an experienced performance engineer that has conducted critical tests on today’s complex multi-tiered architecture. Hands on lab exercises are used throughout the course to demonstrate key topics and insure the student is intimately familiar with the LoadRunner applications capabilities and limitations. The course thoroughly covers the fundamentals of how to plan, build, and implement a performance test using LoadRunner, with emphasis on developing custom LoadRunner scripts using VUgen. No prior experience with performance testing is required, but basic programming techniques are used and experience with the ANCI C programming language is helpful. Key topics of the course include: installation, goal development, planning, defining business processes, creating transactions, performance monitors, analysis, scenario development, script development with VUgen, Click-N-Script, correlation, parameterization, data preparation, and reporting. The course is specifically designed for web applications, but demonstrates key principles that are highly valuable for performance testing of all architectures.
