VIP was engaged with a large agriculture and manufacturing company to design and develop a data warehousing and business intelligence environment. The customer was interested in how they could move some of their operational reporting off of their ERP in order to improve performance and deliver analytical reporting to their sales team.
We architected an operational data store, data warehouse and data marts to meet the needs of the business. The operational data store successfully off-loaded a significant number of operational reports from the ERP system. We also constructed a data warehouse as an integration point for data from the ERP system and other source systems to populate the data marts. Technologies utilized for this engagement include Crystal Reporting, Business Objects XI R2, Informatica and Oracle.
