Large State Department
A large State Department set out on a $15+ million project that will replace their beleaguered legacy case management system with a customized Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solution with configuration and minor customization. The old system was to be replaced with a new electronic records system to improve the accessibility, effectiveness and efficiency and provide field, program and executive management with more accurate and timely information for monitoring, oversight, planning and reporting purposes. The system will comply with the newly-developed technical architecture.
VIP was contracted to prepare a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) for the technical solution including the business and technical requirements, provide assistance with the contractor evaluation and selection processes, and provide technical architecture design assistance during the system development and implementation. VIP helped coordinate the procurement effort and worked with the Department’s program and executive management staff, control agency staff, the selected solution vendor, and all contract consultants to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and containing the necessary Statement of Work requirements. VIP provided acquisition support responding to bidder questions, and providing clarifications to the State evaluation team through the bid process.
