Project: BI 7.0 Implementation using “On Demand” Basis Support
The Client needed Basis support services to implement SAP’s BI 7.0 on their existing Windows, SQL Server environment. The Client had some Basis expertise staffed in their Dallas Center, but the BI Implementation Team wanted localized support for part of the engagement. The Client did not have BI implementation and configuration expertise on-staff.
VIP provided them with a practice resource skilled in both BI and administration of SAP on the Windows/SQL platform. We provided the consultant on an as-needed basis to install the Sandbox system, then DEV, QA, and Production. This engagement involved a blended delivery model. The consultant did one installation in the Dallas data center with the Basis Team. He then did the development, QA, and Production installations remotely and provided intermittent onsite support. The Client was pleased with the work our consultant did and the flexibility our delivery model provided.
