Project: IDES System, Solution Manager Installation and Configuration
Summary Description
The Client develops a value-add solution for the SAP product suite. They needed an ECC 6.0 IDES system installed and set up in order to develop and test their software. Since ECC 6.0 is built on NetWeaver 7.0, getting patches for this system meant having the SAP Solution Manager installed and configured. The Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer allowed patch downloads to occur. This solution was complicated by the customer’s location – San Juan, Puerto Rico.
VIP was engaged to assist the customer with sizing the required hardware and consulting with them on the software options. We then developed an installation and configuration plan. Once the hardware was ordered, we were able to get the system properly set up and built to their specifications
The customer was happy with our work and very pleased with the flexibility of our delivery model. They have called us several times for repeated consulting and advice.
