Web Analytics & Collaboration

Organizations of all types have begun implementing tools and technologies that provide analysis and information about their Web applications. Some key drivers behind this increased capability include:

  • Organizations continue to make significant investments in eBusiness applications, yet have limited analysis and information from which to manage the investment. Answers to basic questions are needed:  Who is using the application?  What part of the application is used most?  What return are we getting on our investment?  These questions are especially true for business-to-business and non-sales transaction-oriented applications.
  • Organizations have extended internal systems to their customers and partners in order to promote efficiency and "self-service."  In doing so they may increase transaction efficiency but risk losing visibility and the personal relationship with the customer.
  • Organizations want to maximize the sum total of Marketing and Promotions, Customer Service, Customer Relationship Management, and Training.  To achieve this, information and detailed analysis is required.

While many organizations have begun to understand web analytics, we most commonly see deployment that is focused on operational management and logging that tracks web page "hits."  While this is certainly an important first step, to get to the next level, our clients needs to understand how the users are actually using the application.

VIP offers solutions and expertise to help its clients better understand web transactions, traffic patterns, and individual user experiences.  In turn, this analysis and integration helps VIP's customers make more informed business decisions.
